No. 1 in R&D in the cable industry worldwide 
 

  • Research and DevelopmentFour Research Centers support the Group’s activities: the Nexans Research Center and the Nexans Metallurgy Center. These organizations focus on basic cable components, including sheaths, insulation and metals.
  • 24 development networks specialized in specific products or technologies. Located in Europe, the United States, Australia and Korea, these units concentrate on development.
  • Three application centers dedicated to robotics, material handling and LANs. They test and compare cables under real-life conditions and enable Nexans to initiate an ongoing technical dialogue with its customers.

Nexans filed some 60 new patent requests covering various areas of activity, a clear illustration of the quality of Nexans’ technical teams.
